Chiaroscuro
Chiaroscuro was formed in 1995 by fellow musicians, John D. Harmon and Shane Seals. Harmon and Seals had previously played together in the band, Jacob's Ladder, while attending Berea College. After graduating from College with Art degrees in hand, Harmon and Seals set out to bring their Artistic touch to Chiaroscuro. They recruited talented local musicians, Art Cohenour, Josh Eller, and Glenn Quiggins to help them achieve that goal. It wasn't long before Chiaroscuro built a strong following with its hypnotic tunes. The band was known for it's strong live performances, and for creating a unique atmosphere on stage.
In 1996, Chiaroscuro recorded their self titled debut album at Barrick Recording in Glasgow, KY. The album captured a very distinct moment in time for both the audience and the band members. 2001 greeted Chiaroscuro with a lineup and name change. The band reincarnated as Attic Down.
