Attic Down

Attic Down was born a continuation of the band, Chiaroscuro. As unlikely as it sounds, the name change took place after other bands in the U.S. started calling themselves, "Chiaroscuro". Rather than take legal action to protect the name, the band opted to update their moniker. In order to build upon the success and following created by Chiaroscuro, Attic Down added more fullness and punch to their sound by adopting the use of the guitar synth, and eliminating the acoustic guitar in order to add a heavier sound to the mix.

In 2001, after completing work with the band in the recording studio, longtime bassist, Josh Eller, left the group as a result of relocation. The vacant spot was filled when the band hired Benjamin Salyer. Shows, shows, and more shows followed. In 2004, the stage-weary band opted to take a breather and go on hiatus. Unfortunately, it ended up being the band's final curtain call.
